Lahore (24 News): The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) has moved a resolution in the Punjab Provincial Assembly against the issue of banners being put up in the streets of Lahore calling for violence after suspected Panama verdict, reports 24 News HD.
According to reports, the PTI had moved its resolution in favor of an investigation against the banners, calling them a gross violation of the law.
The petition was submitted by the Deputy Opposition Leader, Sibtain Khan.
The resolution condemned the use of money generated from taxes for promoting divisive agendas in Lahore. It also highlighted the fact that the Punjab Horticulture Foundation had not yet been paid for their efforts in putting up the banners.
It also questioned the motives of the people behind the banners, and called for an inquiry into the people responsible for it.
