Lahore (24 News): Three international Free-Style Professional Wrestlers have arrived in Lahore and are set to promote the professional wrestling scene in Pakistan, reports 24 News HD.
Three international wrestlers arrived at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Saturday. The three wrestlers are identified as Austrian Bambi Killer (Chris Raaber), Englishman Tiny Iron (Andrew Harrison) and Pakistani Badshah ‘Pehlwaan’ Khan.
The wrestlers arrived via an international airline from Istanbul, and are set to participate in many events across the country promoting Professional Wrestling and also conducting talent hunts.
Reports indicate that the local wrestling promotion by the name of Pro Wrestling Entertainment Pakistan is responsible for bringing the three wrestlers to Pakistan, and is looking to launch a wrestling franchise like the WWE and TNA in Pakistan. The franchise is expected to launch this Sunday.
The professional wrestling phenomenon has an intense potential for growth in Pakistan due to a large segment of the population being wrestling fans. The sport can bring much needed investment and capital to Pakistan along with providing the dying art of Pehlwaani an extension to evolve.
