Islamabad: PPP co-chairperson and former president of Pakistan Asif Zardari on Thursday reached the capital where preparations for All Parties Conference (APC) called by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have begun, reported 24 News HD.
It may be noted that it is after a break of almost one and a half years that Zardari has landed in Islamabad. He had remained absent from active participation in politicking after making a hard-hitting speech against the military establishment in June 2015.
It was reported that Asif Zardari was scheduled to meet party’s Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, PPP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar and other leaders immediately after landing in Islamabad on Thursday. And he would spend almost two weeks in the capital.
The preparations for APC organized by PPP have begun for which various issues would be discussed under Zardari’s leadership. Besides, Zardari will also discuss the issue of revival of military courts and also chalk out party’s strategy for the next General Election.
