Web Desk: Afghan Taliban commander Mullah Abdul Salam was killed in an airstrike in Kunduz province, confirmed a statement issued by the militants, reported 24 News HD on Monday.
It was reported that Mullah Abdul Salam held a considerable influence especially in Kunduz province. He was considered to be one of the key Afghan Taliban leaders. Radio Pakistan reported that he was also Taliban shadow governor in Kunduz province. Now it was confirmed that he was killed in an airstrike. It was added that Kunduz governor Asadullah Amarkhil said Mullah Abdul Salam Akhund was killed when he was holding a meeting in Dasht-e-Archi district.
