Web Desk (24 News) — Nandipur power plant control has been handed over to a Chinese company by Pakistan government, reported 24 News HD on Friday.
According to report, government has leased over the control on Nandipur to Chinese company for the duration of 10 years. The lease, it has been learnt, has been made despite several irregularities.

As per to Ministry of Water and Power sources, tariff set by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) is Rs. 11.64 while furnace oil plants are manufacturing electricity at higher rates.
The per unit production with Chinese company costs more than 80% of the current rates, it is learnt. It is pertinent to mention here that the additional hike in prices will be borne by consumers.
