Web Desk: On issue of match fixing in Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman Shahryar Khan stated that PCB has issued show-cause notice to Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, reported 24 News.
While addressing a press conference he stated that PCB believes on deterrent punishment. “We will not let them go easily so they can play after four or five years,” he added.
He further added that Muhammad Irfan is under investigation and he may receive the notice in next two to three days,” he further explained.
“After completion of this process, we will make a Disciplinary Committee in PCB and a senior judge will be appointed as head of this committee who will hear the case including statements of the accused,” he said.
Shahzaib Hassan and Zulfiqar Babar has been totally excluded from the investigation.
While disusing recently held ICC meeting, chairman Shahryar Khan stated the Big Three of ICC has finished.
He added International Cricket Council (ICC) will develop new constitution. “As expected India opposed it,” he added.
Khan further said recent meeting of ICC remained very successful and new constitution will be decided in next meeting in April
While talking on security issue in Pakistan, he mentioned that report by ICC official Giles Clark has proved to be very useful for us. “Clark has told ICC that security situation has improved as terrorism decreased by 83% ,” Khan said.
“We are in talk with countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan to send their junior teams to Pakistan so that they can see the security situation themselves in Pakistan and hopefully the doors of cricket will slowly open in the country,” he said.
He further told the media that PCB is conducting inter-school tournament in which teams from whole Pakistan will play. “We are in contact with HEC and soon an MoU will be signed between us to arrange university cricket tournaments,” he said.
“We need educated young players as due to lack of education many youngsters go to wrong way.
