Web Desk — All-rounder and recently called Mohammad Hafeez will captain the national side against Australia in the One Day International (ODI) series, announced coach Mickey Arthur on Saturday. He will take place of Azhar Ali, who is out due to injury, reported 24 News.

According to sources, Azhar Ali has sustained hamstring injury during the 1st ODI after which he has been ruled out of the ODI series.
Coach Mickey Arthur has appointed Hafeez as standing captain for the remainder of the ODI series.
It is pertinent to mention here that the 2nd match of the 5-ODI-series will be played in Melbourne, Australia on January 15. The record of the national team in the past has been abysmal, having won only 5 of the 15 matches.
