Web Desk (QUETTA) — Former Chief Minister Doctor Abdul Malik Balouch said on Monday that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had been ignored by former governments. CPEC projects have propelled Balochistan into development, said Baloch, reported 24 News HD.
Speaking at a press conference in Quetta, the former Chief Minister said that the current government’s decision on CPEC is a continuation of previous talks held by former governments.

He said that in Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government, promises were made to give hold of ports to provinces, but the promises were not kept.
Doctor Abdul Malik Balouch said that measures need to be taken to protect native people of Gawadar from becoming a minority. Legislation needs to be done in this regard, said the former minister.
Talking about the upcoming census, Balouch said that certain reservations need to be addressed before an effective census can be carried out.
